VEGETARIANS NEED TO EAT TOO!
It is very easy to build up a vegetarian food storage.
WHAT IS FOOD SECURITY?
Firstly, the reason you need for food storage is for food security. That is to say, things happen that may disrupt your accessibility to purchase food… for example, pandemic, weather related interruptions to the food supply chain, unemployment, work and family concerns, etc. Subsequently, having a full pantry will bring you peace of mind that you can feed yourself for a period of time.
HOW DO YOU BUILD UP FOOD STORAGE?
It is very easy to build up vegetarian food storage for yourself for about $5 a week.
HOW IT WORKS:
This vegetarian food storage plan is built on a $5 per week budget. Every 20 weeks, the plan repeats.
The plan is to spend $5 a week (or more, if your can) on the items listed.
TIPS AND TRICKS TO KEEP YOUR FOOD STORAGE FRESH!
- Store at room temperature (so not in your garage, attic, or storage shed).
- Write the expiration date on the packaging with a permanent marker. This will be much easier for you to see as your won’t have to ‘search’ the packaging for it more than once.
- “Shop” from your food storage first BEFORE you go to the store. Then buy and replace that item when you go shopping.
- Continue to build up your food storage from the FREE Shopping List every week.
